Who do I follow?

Who do I follow?.......The question was asked.

I currently have a twitter account and other network accounts that I utilize for personal and social networking. It never occurred to me to use it for gathering and sharing useful educational information and resources. My Twitter account, I previously followed 39 blogs, (sad.....I know) now I follow over 139 and still adding more.

To answer the underlying question, whom do I follow?

On Twitter I follow:

Discovery Education

Education Week

Edu-News

Global Tesol

PBS

Scholastic

And many more…

On Google Reader I follow:

Elementary education

Educators Home

AAAS News

Hoagies’ Gifted

Internet TESL Journal

I chose to follow these blogs because they provide great educational information and resources for educators like myself. Most of these blogs/sites are from reputable organizations such as PBS and Discovery Education, and others are from veteran and new educators. As a newbie (having my own classroom) I will need all the resources I can obtain in order to have an effective lesson instruction and a successful classroom.

  1. Your first comment reflects what I see in students as well. They can FB like no other but for some reason fail to realize how they can use networks for their own learning. I would also suggest following individuals as well as business/institutional accounts.
